90% of the manufacturing processes for ginger products usually involve cold pressing or simple pulverization, which are otherwise used for spices. However , extraction and concentration at over 140°C are particularly crucial. By combining dry and liquid extracts, gingerols and shogaols as well as many other plant substances can be extracted in their entirety and the entire spectrum of secondary plant substances is retained.

Choosing the right varieties
We rely on old ginger varieties with small but powerful rhizomes. They are extremely rich in shogaols and gingerols and come from select regions in Sri Lanka and Nigeria . Conventional products on the market – be it ginger powder, shots, juices or even fresh ginger bulbs – mostly come from China and contain hardly any gingerols and shogaols . The reason for this lies in the widespread, industrial mass cultivation and the new ginger varieties with a high water content but few active plant substances
